Ms O’Connor, I really enjoy your blog. I never knew you were such a hipster.

One of my tenth-grade students wrote that on his course evaluation! My boss was puzzled by the comment. Apparently, the kid has been stalking me online. This is why 1. I haven’t posted in a while and 2. I have changed my url to “la-tringa.” That means sandpiper in Spanish. It has a nice ring to it, I think.

VMS faculty “hut” trip. 12.04.11. We skinned about 4.5 miles out to this 10th Mountain Division Hut. Luckily we got a few inches the night before!
